An American Airlines plane carrying at least three people from the US Congress collided on the ground with another aircraft of the same company at Ronald Reagan Airport in Washington. This was reported on April 10 by the Reuters news agency, citing the US Federal Aviation Administration.

"The plane carrying at least three members of Congress at Washington's Reagan National Airport was shot down on the taxiway by the wingtip of another American Airlines aircraft," the newspaper said.

It is specified that Bombardier CRJ 900 and Embraer E175 aircraft collided. Both aircraft were replaced in order to carry out a technical check. The incident did not affect the operation of the airport, the newspaper said.

The North Bend Airport reported on April 7 that a private jet skidded off the runway and fell into the water in Oregon, injuring five people.
