Snipers have started using buggies for combat work

Sniper pairs have started using buggies for combat work in the zone of special military operation (SMO). This was reported to Izvestiya by sources in the Russian Defense Ministry.

These combat vehicles have proven their effectiveness during a special military operation.

The small vehicles allow them to move in off-road conditions and get as close to the line of contact as possible. Buggies are relatively easy to camouflage at the parking place: throw branches or drive them into a small room. Most importantly, they can carry a large amount of ammunition and equipment with them on a combat mission. All this allows snipers to operate autonomously for a long time.

Until the troops have not received buggies in sufficient quantity, they had to move on larger vehicles, and they represent a noticeable target, military experts say.

"Using buggies is an effective solution. It is unequivocally better than Bukhanka, Ural or some pickup truck that were used before. Such a vehicle is less visible as a target, it is faster and can skip where larger vehicles would be detected and hit by FPV drones or artillery. The buggy has better off-road performance, maneuverability, and speed. It is a more modern and suitable vehicle for combat work. Another suitable means can be called quad bikes", - said the chairman of the public organization "Officers of Russia" Roman Shkurlatov.
