During the transition to a new trade policy, the United States faced new problems, in particular, the fact that the American side does not have time to process requests from other countries that want to conclude a deal with Washington. This was announced on April 10 by US President Donald Trump during a meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers.

The US president drew attention to the fact that there would be "a price" and new problems for the transition to a new trade policy, but stressed that "everything will be fine" as a result. Trump noted that despite the difficulties, the United States is in "good shape."

He also noted that after the introduction of import duties, the United States earns about $3.5 billion per day.

"As you know, without attracting a lot of money that we could attract, the country earns about $2 billion a day. And come to think of it, we've never done this before. We've never come close to that. And that number is probably $3.5 billion a day," ABC News quoted him as saying.

On April 8, the American leader postponed the introduction of duties for 90 days for 75 countries due to the panic of citizens. Trump also described the market situation as rather gloomy after his decision to impose duties.
