A criminal case has been opened in Moscow after the attack on REN TV journalists.


A criminal case has been opened after the attack on journalists of the REN TV channel, which took place in a private clinic in Moscow. This was reported on April 10 in the Main Investigative Department (GSU) of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the capital.
As a result of the inspection, a criminal case was opened on the grounds of a crime under Article 144 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Obstruction of the legitimate professional activities of journalists").
Earlier that day, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Moscow reported that investigators were establishing the circumstances of the attack on the journalists of the REN TV channel, who were carrying out an editorial assignment in a private medical clinic. The incident occurred on April 9 at a medical facility on Minskaya Street.
The Nikulin Interdistrict Investigation Department of the Investigative Department for the Western Administrative District of the capital's GSU IC is conducting an investigation into the attack. The attacker of the journalists was arrested for 15 days. The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to report to him on the progress of the inspection.
