Artur Petrov, a Russian detained at the request of the United States, who was exchanged earlier that day for Ksenia Karelina, convicted of high treason in Russia, called his release sudden. Footage of his words was distributed on April 10 by the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation.

"I didn't have time to notify my family. Suddenly, they called for a trial, and Weye was taken from the court to Washington. From there, straight to the plane," he said.

Petrov added that he really wants to go home.
