A criminal case was opened after the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired on an energy facility in the Kursk region.

The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a case of a terrorist attack after the shelling of an energy facility in the Kursk region. This was announced on April 10 in the press service of the department.

"The Main Military Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraphs "a", "b", part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act")," the Telegram channel said.

The investigation revealed that on April 9, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the Kurskenergo high-voltage line using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). As a result, more than 600 consumers were left without electricity in Bolshesoldatsky district.

According to the agency, the investigation will bring those involved to justice.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had carried out 11 attacks on Russian energy facilities.
