On April 9, the presentation of the Russian Music Award of the TV channel took place in the hall of the Moscow hotel RU.TV . The main intrigue of the evening was the announcement of the nominees for the upcoming ceremony. The guests also found out what awaits them this year at the awards on May 21 at the LIVE ARENA.

The event, timed to coincide with the Award of the TV channel, became a meeting place for artists, media representatives and socialites of Moscow. "This year we decided to erase all boundaries and lift the curtain of the TV kitchen. In front of an audience of thousands, we will create a real television studio and show how television is born on the other side of the screen. It will be a large–scale show that will be intertwined with fragments of our programs and the award ceremony," the editor-in-chief of the RU TV channel said about the upcoming ceremony.TV by Alexander Trufanov.

On stage this evening were: Dima Bilan; Nikolai Baskov; Moth, as well as Serega, JONY, Olga Seryabkina, Slava, Anna Semenovich, Alsou, Dzhigan, Artur Pirozhkov, Khabib, the SEREBRO group, Vladimir Presnyakov and others.

This year, the nominees for the award were chosen by the audience themselves: they were the ones who suggested the names of the artists who deserve to become winners. Out of a huge number of applicants, the Expert Council selected the most frequently mentioned ones.
