The cost of rebuilding Ukraine after the end of the conflict will be at least 500 billion euros. This was announced on April 10 by Polish Minister for EU Affairs Adam Szlapka.

"According to the latest estimates of the World Bank, the cost of rebuilding [Ukraine] has already reached 500 billion euros and will continue to grow until the end of hostilities," the minister said during the EU–Ukraine business forum in Brussels, broadcast on the Global Pulse YouTube channel.

He clarified that about a third of these funds will be provided by private investors if Kiev continues its reforms.

Earlier, on February 25, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal said that $524 billion would be needed to rebuild the country over the next decade. He noted that the new data exceeds the previous estimate of $38 billion, so the restoration should be a global project.

Earlier that day, US President Donald Trump called the question of the prospects of US assistance for the reconstruction of Ukraine strange. He said Washington had "already contributed" about $350 billion to the country.
