Registration for the Green Marathon charity race has begun

On May 31, on the eve of Children's Day, the 12th SberPrime Green Marathon will be held in Russia, organized by Sber and the Sberbank charitable foundation Contribution to the Future, the organizers' press service reported.

"Every year our Green Marathon gathers thousands of people, for whom it is not just a race, but also an opportunity to do a good deed. For the third year in a row, the sports festival is being held together with the Contribution to the Future Charitable Foundation: we are raising funds for inclusive education for children with special needs and orphanhood, and the Savings Bank will double the amount received. Such children are particularly vulnerable: they need specialized help to prepare for school, feel confident there, and receive a good education. Last year we collected 27 million rubles. I am sure that this year we will raise even more funds, and even more children will be able to prepare for school together with experienced teachers," said Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank.

The competitions will be held in 60 cities of Russia with the support of Sberprime. Registration in Moscow will last until April 30 inclusive and will be paid, in other regions it will end on May 26 and will not require payment.

All funds from the registration of participants in Moscow and voluntary donations from the regions, as well as contributions made during the marathon on the charity platform Sber Place, will go to the Contribution to the Future foundation, while Sber will double the amount raised from its own funds. With this money, specialists will conduct school preparation classes for children with mental disabilities and experience of orphanhood, which will help children learn and communicate with their peers.
