On April 9, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev spoke at the international forum on "Towards a New World Order" about the attempted coup in the country.

He blamed the American organization National Democratic Institute for these events. Aliev said that special services found apartments with Molotov cocktails and instructions on attacks on government buildings and police.

"We actually did not fully control these financial flows. And that is why such notorious institutions as the National Democratic Institute (NDI) were actually plotting a coup d'etat here," APA quoted him as saying.

The President also recalled the attempts of Western non-governmental organizations to interfere in the electoral process in Azerbaijan, claiming that they sent money to the country.

In addition, Aliyev mentioned attempts to organize an "orange revolution" in Azerbaijan with the support of the US State Department. He stressed that these events have not been forgotten, and expressed hope for an end to Western interference in the country's affairs, considering it ineffective.

On April 9, the press center of the National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan announced the prevention of an attempt to organize mass riots and a coup d'etat. Members of a criminal group have been detained who planned to make a provocative video with a "beaten Kyrgyz woman" who would allegedly talk about violence by foreigners. This was supposed to arouse patriotic feelings and provoke riots similar to the events of May 2024 in Bishkek. Then the trained combat groups with weapons intended to arrange fights and pogroms in the places of residence of foreigners.
