In Moscow, the circumstances of the attack on the journalists of the REN TV channel, who were carrying out an editorial assignment in a private medical clinic, are being established. This was announced on April 10 in the press service of the Main Investigative Department (GSU) of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the capital.
The incident occurred on April 9 at a clinic located on Minskaya Street in Moscow.
"An employee of the clinic, realizing that a film crew was in front of him, prevented their legitimate professional activities," the department's Telegram channel says.
The Nikulin Interdistrict Investigation Department of the Investigative Department for the Western Administrative District of the capital's GSU IC is conducting an investigation into the attack. It is specified that the attacker of the journalists was arrested for 15 days.
Earlier, on October 31, 2024, Izvestia correspondent Natalia Grafchikova and her colleagues were attacked by a man while filming a story about marriage scams. As a result, the operator was injured and the equipment was damaged.
Later, on February 18, the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow sentenced Roman Pavlov, a marriage fraudster who attacked the Izvestia film crew, to forced labor for a period of two years and six months.
