The "Dome of Donbass" system for intercepting UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been launched in Gorlovka.

In Gorlovka, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the installed air defense and electronic warfare (EW) system "Dome of Donbass" has begun protecting civilians from drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on April 10 by the press service of the Federal Security Service (FSB) in the region.

It is noted that the system thwarted the attack of Ukrainian drones on residential buildings in the Central City district. A Darts drone armed with an improvised explosive device was also intercepted.

In addition, explosives experts from the Federal Security Service of Russia for the DPR neutralized the drone and eliminated explosive objects at a specialized landfill.

The fighters will have the opportunity to prepare in advance to repel an air raid.

Earlier, on April 7, it was clarified that over the past week, the Dome of Donbass intercepted 216 Ukrainian drones over Donetsk and Makeyevka in the DPR. In particular, the system intercepted three drones over the Kuibyshev district of Donetsk, which were exploring the territory in the area of civilian fuel and lubricants depots. In addition, another 28 UAVs were shot down during a massive attack on the night of April 4-5.
