The media reported a record increase in the wealth of the world's richest people

The financial condition of the world's richest people has collectively increased by a record $304 billion after US President Donald Trump suspended the increase in duties on countries that showed willingness to negotiate for 90 days. This was reported by Bloomberg on April 10.
"The cumulative increase in wealth on Wednesday broke the previous record of $233 billion, set in March 2022, after Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell raised interest rates for the first time in several years, but assured investors that the economy remains stable," the material says.
According to the agency, American billionaire and Tesla owner Elon Musk earned the most — his company's shares increased by 23% ($35.9 billion).
The fortune of Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Meta (recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), grew by $25.8 billion, and the head of the American technology company Nvidia, Jensen Huang, earned $15.5 billion.
On April 2, the American leader announced the introduction of base duties of 10% on products imported from other countries. For the European Union (EU), this figure was raised to 20%, and for the People's Republic of China (PRC) — to 34%. On April 4, China imposed duties of 34% against the United States on the same day. Later, the United States raised duties against China to 104%, to which Beijing responded by increasing its fees to 84%.
Later, on April 9, Trump postponed the introduction of duties for 75 countries for 90 days due to panic among Americans — the president described the situation on the markets after the introduction of tariffs as "quite gloomy." At the same time, he also announced an immediate increase in duties on products from China to 125%.
