The media reported on China's reduction in imports of Hollywood films

The Chinese authorities plan to reduce the number of American films allowed to be imported into the country after the escalation of the trade war with the United States. This was reported on April 10 by Bloomberg with reference to the Chinese State Administration for Cinematography.
"The wrong actions of the US government in abusing tariffs against China will inevitably further reduce the favorability of the domestic audience towards American films," the Chinese ministry said in a statement.
According to the agency, earlier American studios have already reduced the promotion of their films in China. At the same time, the interest of Chinese viewers has "largely" shifted to domestic paintings.
Earlier, on April 9, the Chinese authorities decided to increase duties on imported goods from the United States to 84% in response to the increase in US tariffs. US President Donald Trump, in turn, said that the United States would respond to Beijing's move by immediately raising import duties on Chinese products to 125%.
On the same day, Trump said that the United States could conclude trade agreements with all countries, including China and the European Union (EU), but only on fair terms for Washington.
