On April 8, a Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with Tricolor insignia launched the Soyuz MS-27 manned spacecraft into orbit. The launch could be followed live in the Tricolor community on VKontakte and on the Bolshoy Aether channel.

The whole country was watching this moment — the Roscosmos broadcast gathered more than 3,800,000 views, setting a new record among all Russian launches.

The Tricolor logo was applied to the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle in honor of the company's 20th anniversary. On the occasion of its anniversary, the operator also launched an All-Russian flash mob and conducted a large-scale campaign in social networks and the media to attract viewers to the broadcast.

In addition, a record number of tourists came to Baikonur to see the rocket launch live — according to Roscosmos, more than 2,500 people. Among them: famous actors, TV presenters, bloggers and executives from various parts of Russia and the world.

The launch vehicle launched the Soyuz MS-27 spacecraft into orbit, which delivered the main crew of the 73rd long-term expedition. It includes Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Alexey Zubritsky and NASA astronaut Jonathan Kim, Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergey Mikaev, as well as NASA astronaut Christopher Williams.

Space and Tricolor have been inextricably linked for the past 20 years. To mark an important event, Tricolor released a video about how over the past 20 years its products have become a part of the life of every fourth inhabitant of Russia. It all started with a satellite dish, but today Tricolor is more than a TV. The company offers advanced services and is actively developing a product line that includes televisions, household and audio equipment, video surveillance cameras and other smart solutions for home and business.
