Among cars with mileage up to 3 years old in the first quarter of 2025, Russians were most often interested in Lada cars. The leader in the growth of interest compared to last year was Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, whose popularity increased 2.3 times. Avito Auto experts told Izvestia about this on April 10.

Russians showed the greatest interest in Lada cars with an indicator of 29.6%. Geely is in second place with a noticeable lag (6.8%), and Toyota is in third (6.7%). BMW (5.3%) and Kia (4.1%) took the fourth and fifth places.

Among the models, the most customer interest came from Lada Granta with a share of 13%, Vesta (7%) and Niva Legend (3.9%). The top five also included Geely Monjaro (3.2%) and Toyota Camry (2.9%). The top ten was completed by Lada Niva Travel, Geely Coolray, Haval Jolion, Lada Vesta Cross and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max.

The average price of a car in this segment in the first quarter of 2025 decreased by 11% compared to the same period last year. The most significant decrease was recorded in Geely brand cars, the average price of which decreased by 10%.

"Moreover, interest in such models continues to grow: in the secondary market, Vesta has gained almost 10%, and Niva Legend — more than 100% compared to the first quarter of last year. However, along with them, Chinese models are noticeably improving their positions: the growing interest in Haval Jolion (73.5%) and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max (2.3 times), while reducing the average price by 7.3% and 11.6%, respectively, increase their attractiveness to motorists," said the director of the Used Cars direction Andrey Kovalev is at Avito.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that in January—March 2025, 213 Chinese car dealerships were closed in Russia due to the loss of investors. This is more than in the whole of 2023 (187 car dealerships), and three times more than in the first quarter of last year (67 showrooms).

On April 7, it became known that the average price of a new car in the first quarter of 2025 was 2.96 million rubles. Compared to the same period last year, Moskvich (-14.7%) and Omoda (-4%) cars lost the most significantly in price among the brands.
