In Pskov, the police will check the conditions of dozens of cats trapped in one of the apartments on Entuziastov Avenue. The inspection was organized after an appeal from animal rights activists concerned about the fate of the animals.

The Pskov news feed in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region was told that the district police officer twice went to the apartment address, but did not find the owner of the apartment with the cats. He will come there again to find out the conditions of the animals and their condition. If necessary, the veterinary service will be involved.

The agency recalls that in early March, the owner of a private house in the village of Rodina in the Pskov region addressed the animal rights activists. As the volunteers found out, more than fifty cats lived indoors in unsanitary conditions. They were later moved to an apartment on Entuziastov Avenue.

The volunteers were unable to help the woman who took the animals into care, put the apartment in order and carry out the necessary treatment. Then the animal rights activist contacted the police and the prosecutor's office.

Earlier it was reported that in the Trans-Baikal city of Nerchinsk, a cat caused a fire in one of the apartments after it chewed through the wiring. The animal was saved.
