The truck fell through the ice of the Zeya reservoir in the Amur region. The driver managed to get out of the cab.
The incident occurred on the evening of April 8, a few kilometers from the dam. There is no equipped ice crossing on this section, and access to the ice was prohibited. This is reported by PriamurMedia news agency.
The driver was able to get out of the vehicle before it went under water.
As of April 10, there is only one ice crossing in the Amur Region, connecting the settlements of Koboldo and Ogodzha in the Selemdzhinsky district. Driving on ice is not safe in the rest of the region.
