- The Kremlin called the EU's demand to remove Vulin from the Serbian government persecution.

The demand of the European Union (EU) to remove Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Vulin from the government indicates a growing trend towards political persecution in the West. This was announced on April 10 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"In recent months, the trend towards political persecution in European countries has become more pronounced <...> Of course, the spectacle here is quite sad," Peskov stressed at a briefing.
He noted that the EU countries are going beyond the standards of what is called democracy in Brussels and what Europe has always tried to teach other countries.
A day earlier, Vulin said that the EU was preparing a project to overthrow Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. He added that Brussels plans to bring a new government to power in Serbia, which will be in line with EU policy, namely with the recognition of Kosovo, the rejection of Republika Srpska and the imposition of sanctions against Russia.
