Drone manufacturer to open scientific and educational center in St. Petersburg

A scientific and educational center of the Radar MMC manufacturing enterprise will be opened in St. Petersburg. This was announced by the general director of the company, Georgy Antsev. According to him, a lot of cooperation with universities and the educational system is planned.

The company bought a 10-hectare site from an asphalt plant. The first building is scheduled to open in May, 78 TV channel reports.

Radar MMC is one of the leaders in the field of radio electronic systems and complexes, software and precision instrumentation. It is the largest Russian manufacturer of helicopter-type drones.

At the end of March, it was reported that students and schoolchildren will be able to gain practical skills in working with UAVs under the guidance of developers of unmanned vehicles and operators from their area. The new project "Assemble a Drone" is being launched in educational institutions in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Students will be able to acquire basic technical competencies that will be useful when choosing a future profession, experts say.
