The opening ceremony of the RT International Festival was held in Kostroma.Doc: The time of our heroes." The event began with the premiere of the tape "Sisters of Mercy" by Olga Kiri, a military commander and RT documentarian.

The main guests of the opening ceremony were the participants of the special military operation. The audience greeted and saw them off with incessant applause. Hero of Russia Vladislav Zhuravlev and Knight of the Order of Courage Ilya Kazakov performed from the stage.

The documentaries included in the program were shown in 11 cities and 105 towns and villages of the region. Before the start, the volunteers held workshops on making trench candles and camouflage nets.

Before the opening ceremony, an exhibition of portraits of soldiers and military officers was held in the lobby of the Gubernsky Concert Hall. The volunteers conducted workshops on weaving camouflage nets, making trench candles, and showed the stoves they had assembled themselves.

"The fact that we saw how everyone came together, not just the documentaries, shows that the festival has become much broader. These are poets, musicians, and artists. Incredible cohesion and unification. I believe that Kostroma's example should, of course, serve as an example for other regions. And this format of the festival must be carried on," says the general producer of the RT festival.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes" by Ekaterina Yakovleva.

Concert program "RT.Doc: The Time of our Heroes" on the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory is dedicated to the heroes of two times at once — WWII and SVO. This is a joint creation of the organizers of the festival and the Kostroma Ballet. The production also includes the frontline hits of the bands "St. John's Wort" and "Katyusha".

The premiere of the RT military commander opened the festival.Olga Kiri's doc "Sisters of Mercy". The heroines of the film are fragile girls who always come to the aid of our army in difficult times for Russia.

In parallel with the opening ceremony, film screenings of the festival program took place in 11 cities and 105 towns and villages of the region. There are two more days of an intense audience program ahead.

The International Festival "RT.Doc: The Time of our Heroes" is organized jointly with the Administration of the Kostroma region and the charity foundation "Proud of you".
