The weather forecaster named the dates of snowmelt in Moscow

The snow cover established in Moscow and the Moscow region will completely melt next week due to a sharp warming. Anatoly Tsygankov, head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Service's Crisis Management Department, announced this on Thursday, April 10.
"On Monday, a sharp warming is expected, on April 14-15 in the afternoon — from +10 to +15 degrees, on Wednesday it is expected to reach +18 degrees. I think the snow will melt by Wednesday, by Easter for sure," the forecaster told the Moscow City News agency.
At the same time, he stressed that precipitation in the form of snow may still fall in April and even in June.
Earlier in the day, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, chief specialist of the Meteonosti news agency, told RT when the return of the spring climate norm is expected in Moscow. According to the forecaster, the weather will be determined by the crest of the anticyclone over the weekend.
By the morning of April 9, the snow cover in the capital exceeded 23 cm. The highest level was recorded in the Wedge — 33 cm, NSN said.
In turn, Andrey Kochnev, head of the motor transport department at Alfa-Leasing Group, told Izvestia that a sudden change in the weather poses a serious danger to motorists who have already switched to summer tires. Summer tires lose their elasticity at low temperatures, which significantly impairs their grip on the road, especially on snow and ice, the expert noted.
