Sobyanin spoke about the city's fight against the illegal sale of alcohol

The systematic fight against illegal alcohol trafficking protects citizens, said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
According to him, practice shows that almost 70% of entrepreneurs begin to comply with all the requirements for the sale of alcoholic beverages only after measures of influence. Fines now reach 3 million rubles per violation.
In order for businesses to comply with the law, the Department of Trade and Services and the metropolitan supervisory authorities are conducting a broad campaign to prevent violations. For example, there are Telegram channels where you can get answers to questions and monitor changes in legislation. An online calculator for assessing the likelihood of violating mandatory requirements is also available on the Open Control platform.
In addition, entrepreneurs can invite regulatory authorities to the points of sale for a preventive visit. Specialists will give recommendations on how to eliminate violations and will not issue prescriptions.
"Prevention gives results. In 2024, 40% less illegal alcohol was seized than in 2023," Sobyanin concluded.
