The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on the elimination of a landscape fire in Dagestan

In Dagestan, a landscape fire was eliminated on the territory of the Levashinsky district. This was announced on April 10 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"To extinguish the fire, the specialists carried out counter fire and created mineralized strips. Due to the lack of access roads, the fires had to be reached on foot for several hours," the department's Telegram channel says.

They clarified that the situation at the fire site was controlled using drones. The cause of the fire will be determined by the investigators of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

On March 15, a fire started in the Akhtyn district of the Republic of Dagestan on a mountainside located 2 km from the village of Khryug. Later it was reported that the cause of the landscape fire in the Akhtyn district could be human error. On March 18, it became known that the area of the natural fire through which the fire passed was 22 hectares.

On April 6, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations managed to localize the outbreak of a landscape fire. Extinguishing was complicated by strong winds, inaccessible terrain and remote fire sources.
