The media allowed the EU to interfere in the presidential elections in Poland
Recent events in Romania and France related to the presidential elections suggest a repeat of the situation in Poland. This was reported on April 10 by Myśl Polska.
"The court decisions (against Calin Georgescu and Marine Le Pen) convince us of the seizure of state power and that something is wrong with democracy, as the European Union understands it. The same process can be observed in Romania and France: candidates from outside the system prevail, so democracy should be restricted by prohibiting participation in elections (a court decision from March this year does not allow Calin Georgescu to participate in elections)," the publication says.
In addition, it is noted that pro-European politicians were also dissatisfied with the results of the US elections. The election of Republican Donald Trump as president and his actions have shown that Washington will not allow the European Union to use him for its own purposes.
In Poland, as Myśl Polska notes, there have been no such restrictions on freedom yet. However, the experience of Romania and France should be taken into account, as recent polls show an increase in the popularity of non-systemic candidate Slawomir Menzen.
Earlier, on March 12, the Polish newspaper Myśl Polska stated that the ban on participation in the presidential elections in Romania for the opposition candidate Calin Georgescu indicates Europe's descent into dictatorship.
On March 9, the Central Election Commission of Romania refused to register Georgescu as a candidate, noting that the submitted documents did not comply with the requirements of the law. This decision caused protests in Bucharest, which escalated into clashes with the police.
