- Kaprizov returned to the ice after surgery and scored a double in the game against San Jose

The striker of the American hockey club Minnesota Wild, Russian Kirill Kaprizov, scored a double in his first regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL) against the San Jose Sharks and brought victory to his team. The match took place on April 9 and ended with a score of 8:7.
The Russian athlete scored a goal in the second period, as well as in overtime, where he managed to score the winning goal. Kaprizov now has 38 games in the current NHL season and 54 points (25 goals scored and 29 assists).
Despite his achievements in the confrontation, the Russian became only the third star of the match. The first was Joel Eriksson from Minnesota, who made poker, and the second was McLean Celebrity from San Jose, who scored three goals, Sport-Express reports.
The general manager of the Minnesota Wild team, Bill Guerin, announced on January 28 that Kaprizov would have to undergo surgery due to an injury that has been bothering the Russian hockey player since the end of December 2024. It was planned that the recovery period would take about four weeks.
