Slovakia's prime minister says army needs to be modernized

The Slovak army needs modernization as almost all weapons in working condition were transferred to Ukraine by the previous government, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo has said in an interview with Izvestia.
"The Slovak army needs modernization. Almost everything that was in working condition was transferred to Ukraine by the previous government. And I will not reveal a secret if I say that today we do not have even our nuclear power plants protected, because the air defense system, MIG-29 aircraft, a huge amount of weapons and ammunition were transferred free of charge by the previous government to Ukraine," Robert Fitzo told Izvestia.
The total value of weapons supplied to Kiev by Slovakia as part of 13 military aid packages is €671 million.
