Thai ambassador talks about the country's interest in Russian LNG and coal

Thailand is interested in Russian LNG and coal supplies, the kingdom's ambassador to Russia Sasivat Wongsinsawat told Izvestia.

"Yes, we are still interested in energy resources. Because Thailand actively imports liquefied natural gas and coal. But the thing is that we need to find a very good way to transport them into the country. At the same time, we have to find a way to deal with the secondary sanctions of the West," the Thai ambassador said.

He added that there have already been talks between companies in the two countries to supply LNG and coal to Thailand, but so far this has not happened.
