Fox News has learned about the US refusal to consider a deal with China on TikTok

The United States has stopped considering a possible deal with the Chinese company ByteDance to purchase the TikTok platform due to the aggravation of relations with China. This was announced on April 9 by Charles Gasparino, a Fox News journalist, with reference to the White House.
"The TikTok deal — the sale of the Chinese company's app to the Americans — is not being considered in the foreseeable future, and possibly forever, since we (the United States — Ed.) are entering into a trade conflict focused on China," the journalist said in a message on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
On April 5, Reuters reported that US President Donald Trump's TikTok social network deal, owned by the Chinese company ByteDance, was suspended after China said it would abandon it due to duties.
Trump said on March 27 that the United States does not rule out the possibility of reducing duties on goods from China in the event of a successful TikTok deal. He added that there are many options for acquiring a social network, and expressed confidence that the most profitable one for the United States will be chosen.
