The Pskov City Court has sentenced Natalia Ilyina, rector of Pskov State University (PskovGU), who is suspected of fraud on an especially large scale, to be arrested for two months. This was reported on April 9 in the joint press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the Pskov region.

"The court granted the petition and chose a preventive measure against the accused in the form of detention for a period of two months," the Telegram channel said.

It is noted that the charge is provided for under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud committed on an especially large scale").

On the same day, the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Belgorod region announced the arrest of a 50-year-old man on suspicion of fraud on a particularly large scale. It was previously established that the suspect, being the commander of a law enforcement-oriented public association, created forged documents on the duty of employees who actually did not take part in the events.
