The cost of a night in hotels for the summer has increased by 13%

The average cost of a night in hotels and apartments in Russia for the summer increased by 13% and amounts to 6,300 rubles (in the same period last year, 5,600 rubles). At the same time, Russians are increasingly choosing non-resort destinations for recreation. Izvestia was told about this in the online booking service Ostrovok.

According to the service, in general, the summer season of 2025 demonstrates an increase in demand, especially for non-resort destinations.

"Tourists are more active than last year, choosing historical centers and major cities for sightseeing and cultural recreation, as well as gastronomy. The number of early bookings in Yekaterinburg increased 3.5 times year—on—year, in Pskov — almost doubled, in Novosibirsk — by 87%, in Veliky Novgorod — by 47%, in Nizhny Novgorod — by 38%, in Kislovodsk — by 26%, in Kaliningrad and Yaroslavl - by 24%," - the service's analysts reported.

According to their data, the average cost of a booked night for the summer in hotels and apartments in Russia in 2025 is 6,300 rubles, which is 13% higher than in the same period last year (5,600 rubles).

The dynamics of the top 10 domestic Russian destinations vary. St. Petersburg is in the first place - the average cost of a night in summer bookings is 6,300 rubles (+17%, 5,400 rubles). Sochi is next — 6,600 rubles (+12%, 5,900 rubles), then Moscow — 6,400 rubles (+16% compared to last year, 5,500 rubles). Kaliningrad is in fourth place with 5,500 rubles (+10%, 5,000 rubles). Zelenogradsk is on the fifth line — 9700 rubles (+13%, 8,600 rubles). In Kazan, you will have to pay 5,500 rubles per night (-14%, 6,400 rubles). In Sirius, the room rate was 7,800 rubles (+7%, 7,300 rubles). Svetlogorsk is in eighth place — 8,500 rubles (+16%, 7,300 rubles). Then there are Nizhny Novgorod — 6,400 rubles (+7%, 6,000 rubles) — and Kislovodsk — 5,700 rubles (+10%, 5,200 rubles).

However, there are areas where the average cost of a night in summer bookings has decreased slightly compared to last year.:
Kazan — 5,500 rubles (-14%, 6,400 rubles), Yevpatoria — 4,600 rubles (-10%, 5,100 rubles), Mineralnye Vody — 3,400 rubles (-8%, 3,700 rubles), Feodosia — 4,000 rubles (-7%, 4,300 rubles), Yekaterinburg — 4,600 rubles (-4%, 4,800 rubles), Alushta — 5,700 rubles (-3%, 5,900 rubles), Kemerovo — 3,700 rubles (-3%, 3,800 rubles).
