There are plans to open 70 beaches in the Tula Region this year, including five new ones. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region.

"70 beaches are planned to be opened in the Tula Region during the bathing season, of which 65 are previously functioning beaches and five are new," Dmitry Mudrov, head of the Department of Human Safety at Water Facilities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region, was quoted by TSN24 as saying at a seminar on the organization of the summer bathing season.

New beaches will be launched in Aleksin and Efremov, as well as in Kimovsky, Kurkinsky and Shchekinsky districts. Preparations are underway to open the beach areas for the bathing season.

The TSN24 publication notes that divers are examining the bottom of all reservoirs, on the shores of which beaches will be organized. Work has already been completed at 16 sites, and inspections are scheduled to be completed at the remaining reservoirs by May 15. All beaches should be ready to open by May 20th.
