The Red Army destroyed a significant amount of enemy military equipment

On April 15, 110 German tanks and self-propelled guns were shot down and destroyed on all fronts, and 80 enemy aircraft were shot down in aerial battles and anti-aircraft artillery fire, according to a publication in the Izvestia newspaper.

There were exactly 24 days left until the Great Victory.

"According to updated data, on April 15, the front's troops captured not 3,000, but more than 6,600 German soldiers and officers and captured the following trophies: 50 aircraft, 110 field guns, 295 machine guns," the April 17 issue says.

The material was published as part of the Izvestia special project "80 days to Victory."
