The Prime Minister of Canada promised to make the country an energy superpower

The Canadian government intends to change its approach to the energy sector and make the country a superpower. This was announced on April 9 by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
According to him, earlier the country's authorities "did not act on a global scale," did everything to avoid risks and relied too much on the United States.
"It's time to realize Canada's full potential. Today, I'm announcing a comprehensive new approach: to make Canada the world's leading energy superpower," Carney said.
On April 3, the Prime Minister of Canada also said that the country is ready to assume the role of a world leader in trade and economic cooperation instead of the United States and will achieve much greater success in this direction.
The politician noted that the large-scale trade duties imposed by the administration of US President Donald Trump will destroy the global economy and negatively affect economic growth.
