A teenager who stabbed a schoolboy in the Moscow region tried to stage an attack on himself. This was announced on April 9 by the Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

"This afternoon, a conflict arose between the students due to personal hostility, during which one stabbed the other. <...> After the murder, the suspect tried to stage an attack on himself," the department's Telegram channel said.

The ministry added that the teenager received timely medical assistance and saved his life. At the moment, investigators are continuing to collect evidence.

The fact that a teenager attacked a schoolboy with a knife in the village of Nekrasovsky, Dmitrov city district, became known earlier that day. Despite the medical assistance provided, it was not possible to save the injured child. A criminal case has been opened into the attack.
