Theater artist Stanislav Koshkin has died.

Theater artist Stanislav Koshkin died at the age of 77. This was announced on April 9 by Vladimir Zhivov, Chairman of the Chuvash Cultural Society of St. Petersburg.

"Until the last day, Stanislav Konstantinovich was an active public figure of the Chuvash community in St. Petersburg. He took an active part in Chuvash events. He was a member of the Council of the Chuvash Cultural Society of St. Petersburg," Zhivov wrote on the VKontakte social network.

Zhivov clarified that the farewell to the artist and the funeral will be held in Moscow.

"We express our condolences to his family and friends. His memory will remain in our hearts for a long time," added the chairman of the Chuvash Cultural Society.

Stanislav Koshkin was born in Chuvashia in 1948. He worked as a production designer for the Leningrad Youth Theater, a branch of the Lensovet Theater, and also designed theatrical productions in various cities of the country, including in his native republic. The artist was one of the founders and organizers of the Chuvash Cultural Center of St. Petersburg in 1992.
