Russian companies named the main reasons for the dismissal of employees

Among the main reasons for the dismissal of Russians are an offer from a competitor with more favorable terms (49%), personal circumstances (45%), low salary compared to the market (44%) and overwork (39%). This is stated in the results of a study by the Russian School of Management, which were reviewed by Izvestia on April 10. Experts interviewed 1,092 people — representatives of companies from different business sectors.: owners, managers, HR specialists, HR specialists.
Russians also often quit because their responsibilities do not meet expectations (34%), lack of career growth (32%), and conflicts with their supervisor (20%).
At the same time, most employers remain loyal to former employees.: 74% of companies are ready to hire them again if a suitable vacancy appears.
It turned out that in 47% of companies layoffs occur at least once a month, in 19% — once a quarter, in 13% — once every six months, and only in 21% — no more than once a year. In 90% of cases, the decision to dismiss is made by the employee himself, and only in 10% by the employer. 55% of companies have offboarding programs (organization of smooth completion of work). In other cases, the dismissal takes place without a special transfer process, which often slows down the work of the team.
"The results of the study show that not only financial conditions, but also non-material aspects of work remain a key factor in staff turnover. Employees leave if they don't see prospects, feel constantly overwhelmed, or don't receive feedback from management. This indicates the need for an integrated approach to staff retention: it is important not only to offer competitive salaries, but also to form an understandable development system, take care of work—life balance, and build open and trusting relationships within the team," said Anastasia Borovskaya, director of the Russian School of Management.
She noted that companies that regularly analyze the reasons for layoffs receive important information about internal problems that can be quickly addressed. For example, according to her, the implementation of the offboarding program helps not only to conclude cooperation correctly, but also to receive honest feedback.
"And the employer's willingness to return a retired employee speaks to a flexible approach and the ability to maintain professional connections — this is an important indicator of the maturity of HR processes in the company," the expert added.
Earlier, on March 31, it was reported that more than half of Russians feel signs of burnout or depression at work (56%). This is stated in the results of a survey of analysts of the Kontur communications service.A lot of sense." At the same time, 20% of respondents think that a psychologist could help them cope with a difficult moral state, and another 5% are already working out their problems with a specialist.
