- The American political scientist pointed to the growth of the Russian economy against the background of sanctions

The Russian economy is doing well and showing growth against the background of external pressure and imposed sanctions. This opinion was expressed on April 9 by American political scientist Mark Sleboda in an interview published on the YouTube channel.
"Many people there made a lot of money during the sanctions by occupying market niches and rebuilding the industry. Of course, they have difficulties. Now the economy in Russia is slowing down so that it does not overheat. But given the external pressure, they did an excellent job," he said.
At the same time, according to the political scientist, despite the sanctions from the United States, in Russia "no one cares" about these restrictions, thanks to adaptation. Sleboda also added that the Russian economy grew by 4%, which is higher than in Europe and the United States.
Earlier, on April 7, the head of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov, said that the Russian economy was showing good growth and was attractive for foreign investment. The minister added that the Russian economy now has a high level of real interest rates. He stressed that this means the stability of external trade and the sustainability of financial investments.
Prior to that, on April 3, Kirill Dmitriev, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, said that the Russian economy was developing and growing despite the sanctions imposed on the country.
