European destinations popular with Russian tourists are named

Italy turned out to be the most popular tourist destination, with 31.4% of Russians surveyed planning to go there this year. This follows from the data of the OneTwoTrip travel planning service, which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 10.

"France (19.5%), Spain (13.0%), Germany (5.4%) and Greece (4.9%) are also of interest. It should be noted that 67.3% of travelers separately said that their plans were affected by the lack of direct communication with European countries, so it is likely that the number of trips there will increase when flights are restored," the experts said.

Slightly more than half of the survey participants (56.7%) have ever visited European countries. But this year, only 9.8% of the surveyed travelers managed to visit them. Currently, not everyone can travel to Europe: only 38.4% of respondents have an open Schengen visa.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Energy canceled the recommendations not to visit it and not to sell tours there.

Earlier, on March 27, it was reported that more than half of the Russians surveyed (55%) prefer independent travel planning. At the same time, 23% of respondents trust the planning of travel companies. Another 19% rely on the help of friends or family, and 3% use information from blogs and specialized applications. This is evidenced by the results of a study of the Kupibilet air and railway ticket purchase service.
