The average desired income of Russians after retirement was 52.3 thousand rubles per month, follows from the results of a survey conducted by Sberbank, which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 10. Citizens' requests increased by 11% compared to last year, which may indicate both an increase in needs and a change in the perception of retirement — Russians increasingly see it as an active and significant part of life that they want to live comfortably and in a familiar rhythm.

According to the study, Muscovites have the highest expectations in terms of retirement income, averaging 82.5 thousand rubles per month. Residents of Vladivostok also express significant expectations — 76.4 thousand rubles, followed by Omsk with 74.3 thousand, Novokuznetsk with 73.8 thousand and Naberezhnye Chelny with 72.5 thousand rubles.

At the same time, residents of Chelyabinsk, Irkutsk and Tyumen are more cautious about estimating their future incomes after retirement: 18.2 thousand, 25.2 thousand and 30 thousand rubles, respectively.

The largest increase in expectations for the year was observed in Vladivostok (+103.7%), Omsk (+95%), Rostov-on-Don (+94.1%) and Izhevsk (+76.3%).

In addition, the representatives of the younger generation turned out to be the most ambitious. Respondents aged 18 to 30 expect an average of 66.4 thousand rubles per month. This is 19 thousand more than the older age group.

"An increase in expectations for the amount of income in retirement may indicate not only an increase in needs, but also a change in attitudes towards retirement age. More and more Russians perceive this period as an active phase of life that they want to spend in their usual capacity — with the opportunity to travel, engage in hobbies and not change their lifestyle," summed up Ruslan Westerovsky, Senior Vice President and head of the Wealth Management unit at Sberbank.

In January, it was reported that every second Russian surveyed draws up a financial plan for the year. This was stated in the results of the <url> financial marketplace research. At the same time, 45% of respondents said that they plan monthly expenses and income at the top level, reserving the right to adjust the strategy during the year.
