Attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on energy infrastructure facilities in Russia may affect ordinary consumers abroad. Alexander Frolov, Deputy Director General of the National Energy Institute, told Izvestia about this on April 9.

"These strikes will affect industry, if they achieve results, they may affect industry, and not Russian industry, they may affect ordinary consumers in Europe, Turkey, Serbia," the expert explained, adding that people who make such decisions do not care.

According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack will not affect the Russian energy market.

"We have already accumulated quite a wealth of experience in how the market reacts to attacks on the Russian energy infrastructure. <...> The market does not react in any way," Frolov stressed.

He added that there is no threat to Russian gas supplies today.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Korenovskaya compressor station in the Krasnodar Territory, which provides gas supply to the Turkish Stream.
