The State Duma adopted a law on improving the safety of entertainment events

The State Duma at its plenary session in the second and third readings adopted a law aimed at improving the safety of Russian citizens when organizing mass entertainment events. This was reported on April 9 on the official website of the lower House of Parliament.
"In particular, it will be prohibited by law to hold a spectacular event if the venue does not have the infrastructure and technical equipment to ensure security, including anti—terrorism," the publication says.
Prior to the event, the organizer will have to notify the local authorities about the date, time, place, topic, and number of participants in the meeting. It is specified that a specific procedure will be established in the by-law.
The law on the fundamentals of cultural legislation also includes a provision on the need for the organizer to evacuate guests of a spectacular event in case of a threat.
On March 21, the head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, announced the strengthening of security measures in the region during the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. According to him, law and order will be provided by about 4 thousand law enforcement officers.
