Ten cars burned down in a fire at a garage complex in Murmansk

In Murmansk, as a result of a fire in a garage complex on Shevchenko Street, 10 cars burned down and nine garage boxes were damaged. This is reported by the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The fire occurred the day before, on April 8, at 42a Shevchenko Street. Information about the fire was received at 16:42, complete liquidation was announced on April 9 at 0:16.

The fire destroyed 10 cars and damaged nine garage boxes. The Bi-port news agency, with reference to the regional department for Emergency Situations and Safety, writes that the roof partially collapsed in the building. The fire area was 300 sq. m.

According to Dmitry Tarasov, deputy head of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, firefighters managed to save five cars, and they also evacuated 12 gas cylinders from garages. 33 people and 10 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

The cause of the fire and the amount of damage caused are being determined.

In mid-March, a fire broke out in a garage on the territory of a car cooperative in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Khabarovsk Territory. Six firefighters, as well as the owner of the garage, were injured during the extinguishing.
