- The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation warned about the risk of an eruption of the Nameless volcano in Kamchatka

There is a possibility of a strong eruption of the Nameless volcano in Kamchatka. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kamchatka Territory, referring to data from the Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Group (KVERT).
"KVERT satellite data shows a bright thermal anomaly over the volcano. The effusive activity of the Nameless One is gradually increasing, probably, the volcano is preparing for a strong explosive eruption," the department's Telegram channel says.
It is specified that ash emissions can occur up to a height of 10-15 km. This activity can also affect international and low-flying aircraft.
In addition, ash fallout is possible in the settlements of Ust-Kamchatsky, Bystrinsky and Milkovsky districts. The volcano has now been assigned an "orange" aviation hazard code.
On January 31, it became known that the Nameless volcano became active in Kamchatka. It was noted that there was an increase in seismic activity and an increase in the temperature of the thermal anomaly in the growing dome. In this regard, the probability of a strong eruption was increased.
