In Egypt, six people were killed and one injured in the collapse of a four-story building in the city of Assiut. This was reported by the Shorouk newspaper on April 9.
"In the area of Khadija Youssef Street in Assiut, a four-story building collapsed on Wednesday morning, killing six people," the material says.
According to the newspaper, the house was built of cement. It is specified that at the moment the streets are blocked, rescue services are trying to extract the bodies of the dead and injured from the rubble.
Last September, a five-story building collapsed in Delhi, India, killing four people aged 12 to 26 and injuring 14 others. Search and rescue operations lasted eight hours. It was reported that the building was at least 60 years old and its owner was aware of the problems with it.
