China has included 12 companies from the United States in the export control list in order to protect national security and interests. Information about this was published on April 9 on the website of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China.

"The export of dual—use goods to the 12 aforementioned US entities is prohibited; any export activities currently underway in this area must be stopped immediately," the document clarifies.

The list includes the following American companies: American Photonics, Novotech, Inc., Echodyne, Marvin Engineering Company, Inc., Exovera, Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc., BRINC Drones, Inc., SYNEXXUS, Inc., Firestorm Labs, Inc., Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems, Inc., Domo Tactical Communications and Insitu, Inc.

The export ban will be in effect from April 10.

Earlier in the day, the Chinese authorities decided to raise duties on imported goods from the United States to 84% as a mirror measure. It is specified that the additional tariff rate will apply to all imported goods.

On April 4, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China added 11 technology companies from the United States to the export control list. These companies are prohibited from engaging in trade activities related to China and from implementing new investment projects in the country.
