Elena Dolgina, a teacher and director of RAMT, has died.

Director, Honored Artist of Russia, teacher and assistant to the artistic director of the RAMTA for creative issues Elena Dolgina died at the age of 84. This was announced on April 9 on the official website of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.

"On April 8, Elena Mikhailovna Dolgina, an Honored Artist of Russia, director, teacher, passed away. Since 1980, she has been an invariable and irreplaceable assistant to the artistic director of the RAMTA on creative issues," the publication says.

According to the staff of the cultural institution, Dolgina filled RAMT with creative energy, warmth and sincerity. She also maintained an atmosphere of creativity and "gorenje" in the building.

"The names and repertoire changed, but Elena Mikhailovna remained with her native theater, which for her was not a profession, but a spiritual vocation," the theater staff said.

GITIS Rector Grigory Zaslavsky noted Dolgina's pedagogical talent in his Telegram channel. He also called her the "brownie" of the theater. According to him, the director has rarely left the apartment lately. But despite this, the "voice and excitement" were almost the same, Zaslavsky added.

The date and venue of the farewell ceremony has not yet been specified.

Dolgina graduated from the directing department of GITIS in 1971. After graduation, she worked at the Kirov Theater, where she participated in the organization of over 20 performances. Subsequently, Dolgina worked on "An Evening of Russian Vaudeville", "About Ivan the Fool", "Elena the Wise", "The Adventure of Hohenstaufen", "The Fashion Shop", played in RAMTHA, on "Pas de Trois" and "Spoils of Fate", which were presented on the stage of the Pushkin Theater. In 1992, Dolgina was awarded the title of "Honored Artist of Russia."
