China has increased retaliatory duties on goods from the United States to 84%.

In response, the Chinese authorities decided to increase duties on imported goods from the United States to 84%. The relevant information was published on April 9 on the website of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China.
"The US decision to increase duties on Chinese goods is a mistake that follows a mistake. This seriously infringes on China's legitimate rights and interests and seriously undermines the rules—based multilateral trading system," the ministry stressed.
The additional tariff rate will apply to all goods imported from the United States and will be increased to 84% from April 10.
On April 2, US President Donald Trump announced large-scale trade measures: base tariffs of 10% are being introduced for all products supplied to the United States. For the EU, this figure has been raised to 20%, and for China — to 34%. In his speech, the president called April 2 the day when Americans will become rich again. On April 4, China imposed duties of 34% against the United States.
On April 8, the US authorities increased import duties on goods from China to 104% due to China's refusal to lift retaliatory measures.
The next day, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that the Chinese authorities intend to take decisive measures in response to Trump's 104% duties.
