Named the most beautiful cars in the world in 2025

The organizers of the Car Design Award competition have announced the winners of the 2025 award. The jury consisted of auto journalists from 11 countries from leading publications. The awards were distributed in three categories during Milan Design Week. Their owners were the design teams of Lotus, Ferrari and Renault, the press service of the award reported.

In the concept car category, the victory went to Lotus designers for the Theory 1 show car project. Its creators were inspired by the iconic Lotus models (Type 72, Esprit and Eleven) and followed the ideas of designer Colin Chapman. The top three winners included DS SM Tribute, BMW Skytop, Jaguar Type 00 and Renault Emblem.

Among the production cars, the first place was awarded to Ferrari designers for the 12Cilindri supercar, which the jury recognized as a worthy heir to the brand's cars of the middle of the last century. He lost to the Bugatti Tourbillon hypercar and the Kia EV3 compact electric crossover.

In the Brand Design Language category, Renault won the award for "expressiveness and individuality," applying style to new models and reinterpreting icons of the past in electric vehicles. Dacia and Hyundai are in second place, Cupra and Genesis are in third.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that AvtoVAZ announced the complete restoration of technology in the former workshops of pilot industrial production (OPP) in Tolyatti. Previously, it began production of the VAZ-2123 SUV (which later became the Chevrolet Niva), and the assembly of Kalina and other models was being worked out.
