New copper and gold deposits will be developed in Transbaikalia


New deposits will be developed in the Trans-Baikal Territory. It is planned to search for deposits of gold, polymetals, coal, copper and uranium. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, Alexander Kozlov.
He noted that the project on the development of deposits in the Far East was considered at the Eastern Economic Forum and received the support of President Vladimir Putin. Targeted financing was received for the search for minerals in the region.
ChitaMedia news agency writes that the work on the development of 29 new deposits, including in Transbaikalia, lasted for several years. As a result, new enterprises and new jobs will be created.
Earlier, on March 3, it was reported that the budget of the Trans-Baikal Territory has increased by 81 billion rubles since 2018, from 59 to 140 billion rubles. According to the head of the region, Alexander Osipov, construction continues in the region, production is expanding, and deposits are being launched. One third of the revenues to the regional budget are provided by the transport and logistics industry, which is actively developing.
